Epithalon

Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) white powder in a sealed sterile vial. Requires reconstitution with bacteriostatic water prior to use. Each vial contains 10mg of Epithalon at ≥99% purity.

Epithalon (Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on Epithalamin, a naturally occurring compound derived from the pineal gland. With the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (AEDG), it is one of the smallest bioactive peptides studied — its compact four-amino-acid structure providing excellent stability and solubility. It has been extensively researched for its ability to stimulate telomerase activity, support telomere maintenance, regulate circadian rhythm through melatonin pathways, promote cellular longevity, and influence gene expression patterns associated with cellular ageing.

Research Background

Research has examined Epithalon's effects on telomerase activity — the enzyme responsible for maintaining telomere length at chromosome ends. Studies have investigated whether peptide bioregulators like Epithalon can influence cellular senescence and replicative capacity in various cell culture models. Additional research has explored Epithalon's effects on melatonin synthesis and circadian rhythm regulation through its actions on the pineal gland, as well as its potential antioxidant effects, immune-modulatory properties, and influence on gene expression patterns associated with cellular ageing and DNA protection.
