Semax

Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide based on the ACTH(4-10) fragment with an added Pro-Gly-Pro (PGP) sequence at the C-terminus for enhanced stability. Its sequence (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, or MEHFPGP) combines the biologically active core of ACTH with a stabilising tripeptide, increasing resistance to enzymatic degradation.
